The Hobanat cable-stayed bridge falls within the program European Union Strategy for the Danube Region (SUERD) to divert the traffic from passing through the city center while reducing the distance with the overall bypass to 2.4 kilometers.
The structure is composed by a concrete antenna 62 meters tall. The top elements, in correspondence of the anchorages of the cables, are made of steel as well as two bracings stabilizing the antenna. The deck is made of steel and is assembled on temporary supports until completion of the welding and stressing of the cables.
